Managing Director's Message

It is with immense pride that I share some of the recent achievements and forward-looking initiatives at our college, which is deeply committed to excellence, innovation, and student-focused growth.

We are proud to have been accredited with an ‘A’ grade by NAAC, a strong recognition of our high academic standards, quality infrastructure, and dedicated learning environment.

In a time when education is evolving faster than ever, it’s vital to prepare students not just for today, but for the challenges of tomorrow. That’s why our focus is on nurturing lifelong learners with a strong research mindset right from their first year. Instead of simply training for specific job titles, we aim to equip students with the ability to think critically, explore boldly, and adapt confidently.

To support this vision, our college has formed strong academic and research partnerships with leading institutions in India and abroad. One of our most prestigious collaborations is with the Institute of Biochemistry of Biologically Active Compounds, National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, a globally renowned center for advanced studies in Molecular Biology, Genetics, and Disease Modelling. We also have a meaningful tie-up with the Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences in Chennai, which enhances our practice-based dental education and promotes excellence in oral health. Further enriching our academic and clinical exposure, we have also partnered with the AB Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, a leading name in dental education and research, and the Malabar Cancer Centre, which provides valuable hands-on experience in oral oncology and multidisciplinary care.

As we continue to move forward, I’m delighted to share that our college has also been recognized for its commitment to holistic development beyond academics. We have been awarded the ‘Eat Right Campus’ certification and the ‘Haritha Kalalayam’ recognition, affirming our dedication to promoting health, sustainability, and a clean, green campus environment.

We look forward to welcoming aspiring students and their families to a place where values meet vision, and where education empowers every learner to rise with purpose and confidence.

I am delighted to welcome the new batch of undergraduates and postgraduates, especially as we celebrate our 18th batch of undergraduates this year. Your dedication and passion will shape the future of dental healthcare, and I am so excited to be part of this transformative journey of yours.

Recently, we concluded a successful IOS South India Ortho PG Convention. Leading orthodontists and postgraduate students from across India participated, sharing invaluable insights into the latest advancements in orthodontics. Events like these highlight our commitment to staying at the forefront of dental education and fostering a vibrant academic community.

As we welcome new students, I must also express my concern about the NEET examination system. The delays in the admissions process have caused unwanted anxiety and insecurity among students. It is crucial that we find a permanent solution to ensure a smooth, timely, and fair admission process.

Our student-friendly campus values extracurricular activities, fostering a well-rounded education that extends beyond academics. We have dedicated counselors and mentors to help our students to manage stress and maintain a healthy balance.

At Educare, we take ragging very seriously. Our anti-ragging policy is very strict, and we ensure that all students feel safe and supported. The safety of our students is a top priority for us, and we are committed to providing a secure and nurturing environment.

I am pleased to state that we have signed an MoU with AB Shetty Institute of Dental Sciences Mangalore for a student exchange program in the department of Orthodontics. As part of this initiative, our Post Graduate students attended a week-long program at AB Shetty Institute of Dental Sciences in the month of May 2024 facilitating enriching collaboration and knowledge exchange between students and faculty members. We are committed to continuing and expanding this collaboration in the future.

The Department of Prosthodontics is proud to be associated with Malabar Cancer Centre (MCC), the only tertiary care oncology centre in the Malabar area. Our postgraduates receive exposure to world-class oncology treatment protocols, with a special emphasis on the pre-operative dental needs and treatment of cancer patients. They also observe and assist in post-operative procedures for maxillofacial rehabilitation, including different types of prostheses and implant-based rehabilitation.

We look forward to seeing our students thrive in this supportive and dynamic environment. Together, let’s make this year a remarkable one filled with growth, learning, and success.

Warm regards,

Mr. Nasser Kilyamannil
