Our Library

The Educare library setup ad in the year 2006 at Educare Academic Block. In 2020 November library shifted in to new library block. The Educare Institute of Dental Science has a spacious Library & Reading room. The Library is spread over two floors with the total covered area of 8000 sq. ft. The library can accommodate 400 users at any point of time. A calm and peaceful study environment is created in the library along with proper light and ventilation so that the students face no difficulties in accessing the reading material. The library is automated, has all the prescribed books by the Dental Council of India & KUHAS in sufficient numbers. A collection of reference books are available in every subject in Dentistry for the benefit of both the students and staff. The library provides repro-graphic service and internet service.

  • The main objective of the library is to help the students gain additional knowledge.
  •  All the students and staff are eligible to borrow books from library.
  •  It is the responsibility of the students to enter their name, batch, in time and out time in the Visitors register kept in the library.
  • Books are issued subject to availability.
  •  No student can keep the books issued to him/her for more than 10 days.
  • Books borrowed should be returned in good condition as soon as they are no longer required.
  • It is the personal responsibility of the Students to see whether return entries are made in the issued register at the time of return.
  • All persons, entering the premises of the library, are required to show, on demand, their identity cards to the Librarian/Asst. Librarian at the entrance.
  • All the personal belongings such as files, briefcases, umbrellas, bags, overcoats etc. should be kept at the property counter.
  • Eating & Sleeping are not allowed inside the library
  • Strict silence should be observed within the library.
  • Keep Mobile Phone in silent mode.
  • Don’t misplace the furniture’s in the library.
  • If you take a book in the library you must report to the issue counter before leaves the library
  • Only one book is permitted to students at a time
  • Writing or underlining in the books, journals etc. are not allowed. Cutting or tearing of any photo or page from any publication is prohibited and if found a fine will be levied either individually or collectively.
  • The period of loan will be 7 days including the day of issue for students. A fine of Rs 5.00 per day will be levied from all the students. A book can be renewed for further one term, through direct or email.
  • If a member wishes to keep the book after one renewal he/she has to present the book in the library and get it reissued (if available).
  • Reference Books and journals are not for loan.
  • The person in whose name a book is issued will be held responsible for the care of the same. He/She will have to bear the compensation for any damage or loss.
  • No book shall be issued which is not in good condition for safe handling. Condition of books will be decided by the Librarian.
  • If a book borrowed from the Library is lost, the matter must be reported to the Librarian immediately. The member has to replace the same or later edition of the same book lost/ damaged within a week’s time.
  • It is the personal responsibility of the Students to make sure return entries are made at the time of return.
  • Photocopy  time: 8.30am-5.00pm
  • All library staff should be treated with respect.
