ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Students have to attend the NEET Exam. Soon after the result publication, National Board of Examination will be fixing the cut of mark. That is out of (PG-960 and UG-720) on percentile scheme. Soon after the result published students have to upload their NEET details in CEE Website. That is, www.cee.kerala.in. On its receipt, CEE would prepare Kerala State Rank List. On the basis of Rank list, they would call for online admission process.

CEE would again seek college options from students on priority basis of choosing institutions. After that CEE would publish college wise allotment. for both UG and PG this is the admission system.

Normally two allotments will be there. After that online spot allotment will be conducted by CEE. Still vacancies are existing, that will be fulfilled by CEE through stray vacancy allotment. Those who are coming to college will have to bring all original certificates along with other documents as prescribed by CEE (prospectus).

  1. CRITERIA OF ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION

   Academic:

  1. Applicant should have passed BDS degree from any of the Universities in Kerala or

                from any other University recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala as        

               equivalent to.

  1. Registration with the State Dental Council.

Note

(1) Self Attested copies of the BDS Course Certificate, all BDS mark lists and State Dental Council Registration certificate should be furnished along with the application.

(2) Applicants who will complete one year Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship (CRRI) on or before 31-03-2020 are eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination. But admission to the candidate will be given only after obtaining Registration of the Dental Council.

  1. Age

The upper age limit for the general merit candidates shall be 45 years as on 31st  December of the admission year.

  1. ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

       All candidates shall have to qualify the All India NEET MDS 2020 Exam for admission as per the Dental Council of India norms.

  1. AFFIDAVIT

       Affidavit/undertaking by the candidate and parent to pay the fees that may be fixed pursuant to the judgement/orders of the court should be submitted along with the application in the format as given in Annexure V and a service bond as given in Annexure VIat the time of admission.

  1. HOW TO APPLY

Application

       Application should be forwarded to the Commissioner for Entrance Examination through Online.

      Instructions for filling the Application form:

      (a) The Application should be submitted onine

       Certificates/Documents to be submitted along with the Application:

(a)  B.D.S Degree/Pass Certificate.

       (b) All the documents required as per the notification and prospectus issued by Commissioner for Entrance Examination.

Important Notes:-

       (a) Application not accompanied by documents will be summarily rejected without any further intimation.

       (b) Not to enclose original of certificates along with the application. Self Attested photocopies need alone be enclosed.

       (c) Documents/Certificates furnished after submission of the application will not be entertained under any circumstances.

       (d) No opportunity will be given to incorporate any details or document after the submission of the application.

       (e) Furnishing of false information/particulars would result in the forfeiture of the candidature as well as cancellation of admission to the course, and in addition, will attract the relevant provisions of criminal law of the land.

6    PROCEDURE OF SELECTION

       The selection for admission will be made on the basis of inter se merit from the merit list prepared based on the marks obtained in the written test for the entrance examination (NEET MDS 2020). The selection will be made by the Commissioner for Entrance Examination.

  1. NRI QUOTA ADMISSION 15

Candidates seeking NRI quota admission should produce copy of the following documents in the office of Commissioner of Entrance Examination along with proforma provided in the website of CEE, within the stipulated date and the admission under NRI quota will be registered to candidates who have been included in the NRI rank list, published by CEE.

  1. Relationship certificate of the sponsored students to be issued by the revenue authorities as per GO (MS)No.243/2014/H&FWD dt. 06.08.2014
  2. Overseas Employment Certificate issued by the Employer, attested by the Embassy and if self-employed, it should be attested by the Embassy
  3. Passport with Visa stamped on it and attested by the Embassy.
  4. The sponsor should be an Indian Citizen /overseas citizen of India /Person of Indian origin and the relevant document to prove the same.
  1. ADMISSION TO THE MINORITY QUOTA SEATS

The minority quota seats 15 shall be filled up by the Commissioner for Entrance Examination from the candidates belonging to Muslim community based on inter-se merit.

            Admission to the remaining 85 seats will also be filled by the CEE as per the state reservation norms.

Selected candidates shall take admission at the appointed time and date in the college/college counter with original documents after paying the tuition fee and other fee.

  1. COUNSELLING/ALLOTMENT

Qualified candidates on the basis of order of merit will be called for counselling and            allotment by Commissioner for Entrance Examination.

        Candidates who do  not turn up for the allotment as per schedule, at the place and   time notified, will forfeit their chance for admission and will not be considered for admission in future or arising vacancies, irrespective of the Rank.

         The candidates can give all possible options in the preferences form issued along with the application form. Options once furnished will be final. Allotment of candidates to the MDS courses shall be made on the basis of the rank obtained in the entrance examination and depending on the availability of seats. If a candidate gets selected for the first option he/she will not be considered for the lower options. If a candidate gets selected for his/her lower option the day of Counselling, he/she will be considered for the higher options as per rank, if vacancy arises on or before on the last date of counselling  in that particular subject, provided he/she has joined and is continuing the course of his/her lower option.

        No candidate shall be permitted to do post graduate course in more than one specialty simultaneously. One should have completed or discontinued the course before joining post graduate course in a different specialty.

        Date of Joining and transfer

  1. a) It is mandatory for the candidate to join the course on the date fixed at the time of counseling, if selected.

     b)If a candidate does not join the course to which he/she is selected or discontinues the course after joining, his/her claim for admission for the higher option shall be forfeited.

        (c) No extension of joining time shall be granted.

     (d)No allotment/transfer shall be considered after the last date of admission prescribed by Commissioner for Entrance Examination/Courts of Law.

        Documents to be produced at the time of Counseling/Allotment process

  1. a) Original Admit card entrance examination.
  2. b) original mark lists of the qualifying examination. (BDS)
  3. c) Original Degree/pass certificate of the qualifying examination.

        d)Original Course Certificate.

  1. e) Original Character and Conduct Certificate.
  2. f) Original of any other certificates, the copies of which are enclosed with the application form.
  3. g) Original document (School Record ie. SSLC or equivalent) to prove date of birth.
  4. h) Eligibility/equivalency certificate for candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from outside the state.
  5. i) A Physical Fitness Certificate in the format given in Annexure II
  6. j) Affidavit/undertaking by the candidate and parent to pay the fees as given in Annexure III
  7. k) Any other documents mentioned in the counselling/allotment notification.
  8. l) Kerala Dental Council Registration Certificate valid for the year 2020. Admission to the candidate shall be given only after obtaining registration with the Kerala Dental Council.
  9. m) Any documents prescribed in the prospectus issued by CEE for MDS

           Admission 2021-22.

Genuineness of Certificates

(i)   If the Selection Committee of the individual institution has any doubt about any certificates furnished by a candidate, such certificate shall be accepted only if found genuine on further verification.

(ii)  Admission even if granted shall be cancelled if it is found later that false Certificates had been produced or that the admission had been secured by  fraudulent means.

Important:

Candidate will not be given any chance to produce the original documents/certificates after the time of allotment.

  1. PAYMENTS OF FEES

10.1.   All the candidates shall pay the prescribed tuition fee at the time of MDS Counseling. The mode payment will be as prescribed in the prospectus issued by Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.

10.2 All students have to pay the fees fixed by Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee. Any how the fee for the students belonging to SC/ST/OEC students will be paid by Government.
