Microbiology in Educare Institue of Dental Science

The Department of Microbiology was established in the year 2007. The department offers detailed study on the medical subjects of Microbiology including, Bacteriology, Immunology, Mycology, Virology & Parasitology for second-year BDS students. 

Students can acquire immense knowledge about various microbiological techniques and their application in the field of dentistry. The department helps them to be aware of various kinds of infections in human beings- their etiological agents, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, laboratory diagnosis, treatment, and prophylaxis. 

We also provide training to perform basic microbiological techniques like, Gram’s staining, Acid fast staining, and Albert’s staining, and make them capable enough to perform standard aseptic measures in dental clinics.
