The first phase centralised allotment to MBBS/BDS courses to the State quota seats in Government Medical/l)ental colleges and Private Self Financing Medical/Dental Colleges in the State of Kerala for the academic year 2024-25 is published in the website of Commissioner for Entrance Examinations www.cee.kerala.gov.in. The allotment has been published after addressing the valid complaints received from candidates within the stipulated time regarding the Provisional Allotment published on 28.08.2024.
Those candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examinations with 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and 50% of marks separately in Biology. Candidate should have to appear and qualify the NEET-UG Examinations conducted by National Testing Agency.Only KEAM registered candidates will be considered for admission

ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Students have to attend the NEET Exam. Soon after the result publication, National Board of Examination will be fixing the cut of mark. That is out of (PG-960 and UG-720) on percentile scheme. Soon after the result published students have to upload their NEET details in CEE Website. That is, www.cee.kerala.in. On its receipt, CEE would prepare Kerala State Rank List. On the basis of Rank list, they would call for online admission process.
CEE would again seek college options from students on priority basis of choosing institutions. After that CEE would publish college wise allotment. for both UG and PG this is the admission system.
Normally two allotments will be there. After that online spot allotment will be conducted by CEE. Still vacancies are existing, that will be fulfilled by CEE through stray vacancy allotment. Those who are coming to college will have to bring all original certificates along with other documents as prescribed by CEE (prospectus).

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION
No candidate shall be allowed to be admitted to the medical curriculum of first
Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course until:
of the year commencing the prescribed academic session of the said course.
Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, or Examinations recognized equivalent there to by KUHS with 50% mark in Biology/Biotechnology separately and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology put together are eligible. The candidate must study English as a subject in the Higher Secondary course In respect of candidates belonging to Socially & Educationally Backward Classes the minimum marks required in qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together and in Biology/Biotechnology separately is relaxed to 45% instead of 50% as above.
With respect to candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Schedules Tribes the
minimum marks required in qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together is relaxed to 40%. The eligibility criteria for admission to persons with disability of lower limbs (40 to 70%)– will be a minimum of 45% marks instead of 50% taken together in qualifying examination and competitive entrance examination for admission in BDS course or any other examination which, in scope and standard is found to be equivalent to the intermediate science examination of an Indian University/ Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology including practical test in each of these subjects and English.
NATIONALITY:
Candidates must be Citizens of India / children or dependents of Non Resident Indians.Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizen of India [OCI] will also be treated at par with Indian citizens for the limited purpose of admission. However JPIQ/OCI candidates will not be eligible for any kind of reservation.
AGE
Applicants shall complete the age of 17 years on 31stDecember of the admission year.
ACADEMIC:
As per the ‘Dental Council of India BDS Course Regulation 2007’, the applicant should have passed the qualifying examinations as under:
(a)The Higher Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics or any other elective subjects with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council for Educational Research and Training after the introduction of the 10+2+3 years educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on education or a pass in plus two under the CBSE stream of syllabus.
Note: Where the course content is not as prescribed for 10+2 education structure of the National Committee, the candidates will have to undergo a period of one year pre-professional training before admission to the college.
Or
The Intermediate examination in science of an Indian University/Board or other recognized examining body with Physics, Chemistry and Biology which shall include a practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject.
Or
The pre-professional/pre-medical examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, after passing either the higher secondary school examination, or the pre-university or an equivalent examination. The pre- professional/premedical examination shall include a practical test in Physics, Chemistry & Biology and also English as a compulsory subject.
Or
The first year of the three years degree course of a recognized university, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology including a practical test in these subjects provided the examination is a “University Examination” and candidate has passed 10+2 with English at a level not less than a core course.
Or
B.Sc examination of an Indian University, provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc examination with mot less than two of the following subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology) and further that he/she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with the following subjects – Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
Or
Any other examination which, in scope and standard is found to be equivalent to the Intermediate Science Examination of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology including practical test in each of these subjects and English.
Note:
The pre-medical course may be conducted either at a Dental College or a Science College.
Marks obtained in mathematics are not to be considered for admission to BDS course
After the 10+2 course is introduced, the integrated courses should be abolished.
Rounding off of the percentage of marks to the nearest whole number is not permitted.
Candidates who have not passed their qualifying exam from the Kerala Higher Secondary Board, the CBSE or the ICSE shall provide an equivalency certificate obtained from KUHS.
Selection of Students will be only on the basis of inter-se-merit. They should be eligible for admission on the basis of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. For open merit candidate, they should have obtained the 50 % marks in the qualifying exam for the core subjects. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/SEBC will be considered for admission to this course only if they have scored a minimum of 40% marks in the National Entrance Examination. Candidates with Loco motor disability of lower limbs between 40% to 70% will be considered for admission to BDS course only if they have scored a minimum of 45% marks in the National Entrance Examination.
Relaxation of marks in qualifying examination: Candidates belonging to Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (as per G.O. (P) No. 208/66/Edn dated 2.5.1966 and amendments thereof), with a total annual family income
not exceeding Rs. 6 lakhs, will have a relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination. They need only 45% marks in the case of biology and 45% marks in the case of Biology, Physics and Chemistry put together. Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories need 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together in the qualifying examination. The SEBC candidates should submit their Community Certificate and Non creamy layer Certificate in the prescribed format and their income certificate obtained from the concerned authority. Candidates who have registered in KEAM alone will be considered for admission. The NEET qualified candidates, should upload their NEET score and rank in the website of CEE using their KEAM registration credentials.
Selection to BDS course is made by the Controller of Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala based on inter-se-merit from the Kerala NEET rank list including for the NRI seats. Selection will be done by CEE through a centralized counseling and allotment process. The vacancies if any after first and second allotment will be filled up by CEE through spot admission as per norms.

Candidates seeking NRI quota admission should produce copy of the following documents in the office of Commissioner of Entrance Examination along with proforma provided in the website of CEE, within the stipulated date and the admission under NRI quota will be restricted to those candidates who have been included in the NRI rank list, published by CEE.
The minority quota seats 15 shall be filled up by the Commissioner for Entrance Examination from the candidates belonging to Muslim community based on inter-se merit.
Admission to the remaining 85 seats will also be filled by the CEE as per the state reservation norms.
Selected candidates shall take admission at the appointed time and date in the college/college counter with original documents after paying the tuition fee and other fee.
The NEET eligible candidates who possess the qualifications prescribed above can apply for BDS admission through online. The candidates who have secured a pass in the NEET examination have to upload their marks and ranks in respect of NEET examination in the CEE website online and the Commissioner of Entrance examination will publish the Kerala NEET rank list.
These candidates are given online facilities to exercise their option in the candidates’ portal of CEE website and based on the rank list, CEE will allot seats based on their merit to the colleges as per the option of the candidates.
The tuition fee, special fee and hostel fee will be collected by the institution at the times of admission as per fee structure approved by Fee Regulatory Committee from time to time.
